Is This Anything? is a comedy open mic for everyone! Our weekly mic invites all comedic performers—from storytellers to writers to singers to standups—to test out a variety of material in a supportive and inclusive space. It’s all something!
Ally Spier is a Brooklyn-based copywriter, journalist, and occasional comedian whose byline appears in Reductress, Architectural Digest, Edible Brooklyn, and other publications that don’t have much to do with each other. She co-hosts Vocabaret, a monthly comedy variety show all about language, at Caveat on New York’s Lower East Side.
Ian Goldstein is a writer and producer based in Brooklyn. His written work can be seen in the New Yorker, McSweeney's, Vulture, Nylon, and more. He has hosted and produced various comedy shows around New York City, including one where he gave out doughnuts to the audience, which they seemed to enjoy.
