About

Several modest accounts on the nature of witchcraft and how persons of that crime may be convincted. As well as further accounts of the trials of New England witches concerning EVIL SPIRITS. With observations as well historical as theological, on the nature, numbers, and operations of the devil.

Matt Cox is a playwright, actor, sound designer and former comic book retail associate based in New York City. His work includes Puffs; or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic; Nineteen-ish Years After or There & Back Again; Dude, Where’s My Fantastic Friends.?; PUF3S: Eventfulness Maximus; the three part nerd epic Kapow-I GoGo; The Kapow-I GoGo Holiday Special; The Magnificent Revengers, and the digital Choose-ical Guy Choiceman Decides To Save America. He authored the radio play El Hombre Bovino for WNYC’s The Greene Space, and contributed to The Flea Theater’s The Mysteries. His work has been produced at New World Stages, The Alex Theater in Melbourne Australia, The Elektra Theater, The People’s Improv Theater, The Tank, and The Flea Theater, and across the country in high schools and regional theaters.

CAST:

Langston Belton:

Langston Belton is a New York born and raised improviser & actor. Langston took his first short-form class in 2001 and over a decade later performed Short-form improv in the city for a number of years before arriving at “The People’s Improv Theatre” in 2012 where he was among the recipients of the “Improv Your Life” Scholarship. Since then Langston has performed on numerous PIT House teams and served on the house team committee. He has previously been seen in the Off-Broadway show “Puffs: or seven increasingly eventful years at a certain school of magic and magic”. He is currently acting, improvising, and working as an on camera host for Marvel Entertainment.

Mariette Strauss:

‘O Mariette Strauss ko’u inoa. She grew up in Niles, MI and received her BFA in Theater from Michigan State University before moving to New York City. She was a company member of the Flea Theater and has worked regionally at the Shakespeare Festival at The University of Notre Dame. In February her film, "This Could Be It" recently played at the Santa Fe Film Festival. She is a co-creator of the web series “Nannies,” performed with Te Ao Mana and currently shares aloha with Saint Ann's School.

James Fouhey:

James has credits both regionally and Off-Broadway, most notably originating the role of Cedric in Off-Broadway's Puffs: Or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic (New World Stages). James is also an award winning narrator of more than 400 audiobooks across a wide variety of genres, including with Dolly Parton in her upcoming Run, Rose, Run, co-authored with James Patterson. He also narrates the beloved best selling children’s series Pete the Cat by James Dean, and is the voice of Geoff Thomasen in the award winning sci-fi audio drama, MarsFall. Jessie Cannizzaro:

Jessie Cannizzaro is an actor, writer, and comedian. Select theater credits include The Gods of Comedy (The Old Globe), Puffs (New World Stages), Romeo and Juliet (Lincoln Center Education), The 7 and 1⁄2 Mysteries of Toulouse McLane (Park Avenue Armory), The Mysteries (The Flea), and the title role in Hamlet (American Theatre of Actors). Select Film/TV credits include “Nella the Princess Knight” (Nick Jr.), “Losing It with John Stamos” (Yahoo! Screen), and Selah and The Spades (Amazon Studios). Jessie trained at UCB, and was a member of Ars Nova’s inaugural comedy residency.

Zac Moon:

Zac is an actor originally from Richmond, VA by way of UNC-Chapel Hill. He is best known for originating the role of Wayne in Puffs Off-Broadway (The PIT, New World Stages). He has also been seen around the city at theaters such as The Flea, Ensemble Studio Theatre and Ars Nova. Beyond Puffs: filmed live Off-Broadway, he can also be seen on screen in Imperium (2016).

Andy Miller:

Andy is known for originating the role of Leanne in Puffs, or seven increasingly eventful years at the Pit, off Broadway and in Puffs filmed live.  Other roles she has enjoyed are Treeleaf, Giggle and Police officer Shelly in Kapowi Go Go, Audrey in As You Like it, and many parts in Guy Choiceman. AJ Ditty:

A.J. Ditty has played John Proctor. NYC: Puffs; or, Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic (New World Stages/The Elektra/The PIT), Paddington Gets in a Jam! (DR-2), The Mysteries (The Flea Theater), Kapow-i GoGo!!! (The PIT), and B.B.'s Inferno (The PIT). Eleanor Phillips:

Eleanor Philips is an actor, singer, and comedian who has never done The Crucible. Credits include: Ten Days Next to a Cheesecake Factory (co-writer, performer. Developed as part of Ars Nova's CAMP Residency), Puffs (original cast at The PIT, The Elektra Theatre, New World Stages), and concerts/shows at Joe's Pub, 54 Below, Little Island, and Club Cumming. They're trying a half-assed J.D. Salinger thing — so instead of a cabin in the woods, they just don't post on social media. 

Jordan Sison:

Jordan is an NYC-based actor, writer, and dog enthusiast. She received her BFA from the University of Florida and is currently studying improv at the Peoples Improv Theater. Past credits include The Wolves (#00) and A Christmas Carol (Martha Cratchit). @jordan_sison 

Nick Carrillo

Nick Carrillo attended the Lee Strasburg Theater and Film Institute in NY. He has studied sketch/improv at UCB and The PIT. He performs regularly at any comedy theater that is still open in NY. He has been featured on truTV, VH1, and NBC. NY stage credits: Puffs (New World Stages), West Side Story (Gerald W. Lynch Theater), Murder! (The PIT), South by South Death (National Sawdust)

Jake Keefe:

Jake was part of the original off-Broadway cast of “Puffs,” he’s appeared in commercials for national brands like Papa Johns, Alka Seltzer, and Land’s End. He’s been doing improv and sketch comedy for over twenty years and has been teaching comedy in one form or another for over a decade.
